Choose Multi-Joint Exercise Before Single Joint Exercise
Choose multi joint exercise before single joint exercises during your workouts. An example of a multi-joint exercise is a deadliest, squat, lunge, row, pull ups, chest press, shoulder press. An example of a single joint exercise is a triceps extension, arm curl, seated calf raise.
I often see someone walk right into the gym and go straight to dumbbell arm curls first. While bigger arms look great on the beach, they don't provide much benefit in sports performance. Multi-joint exercises are usually harder to perform, they require more muscle involvement, and burn more calories during a strength training session.
